My friend

True Friend
by:Hannah Montana

[VERSE 1]
We sign our cards and letters BFF
You’ve got a million ways to make me laugh
You’re lookin’ out for me; you’ve got my back
It’s so good to have you around

You know the secrets I could never tell
And when I’m quiet you break through my shell
Don’t feel the need to do a rebel yell
Cause you keep my feet on the ground

[CHORUS 1]
You’re a true friend
You’re here till the end
You pull me aside
When something ain’t right
Talk with me now and into the night
‘Til it’s alright again
You’re a true friend

[VERSE 2]
You don’t get angry when I change the plans
Somehow you’re never out of second chances
Won’t say “I told you” when I’m wrong again
I’m so lucky that I’ve found

[CHORUS 2]
A true friend
You’re here till the end
You pull me aside
When something ain’t right
Talk with me now and into the night
‘Til it’s alright again

[BRIDGE]
True friends will go to the ends of the earth
Till they find the thing you need
Friends hang on through the ups and the downs
Cause they’ve got someone to believe in

[CHORUS 3]
A true friend
You’re here till the end
You pull me aside
When something ain’t right
Talk with me now and into the night
No need to pretend
You’re a true friend
You’re here till the end
Pull me aside
When something ain’t right
Talk with me now and into the night
‘Til it’s alright again
You’re a true friend [3x]

One Friend

One Friend

I always thought you were the best
I guess I always will.
I always felt that we were blessed,
And I feel that way, still.
Sometimes we took the hard road,
But we always saw it through.
If I had only one friend left,
I’d want it to be you.
Sometimes the world was on our side;
Sometimes it wasn’t fair.
Sometimes it gave a helping hand;
Sometimes we didn’t care.
‘Cause when we were together,
It made the dream come true.
If I had only one friend left,
I’d want it to be you.
Someone who understands me,
And knows me inside out.
And helps keep me together,
And believes without a doubt,
That I could move a mountain:
Someone to tell it to.
If I had only one friend left,
I’d want it to be you.
Instrumental Break.
‘Cause when we were together,
It made the dream come true.
If I had only one friend left,
I’d want it to be you.
Someone who understands me,
And knows me inside out.
And helps keep me together,
And believes without a doubt,
That I could move a mountain:
Someone to tell it to.
If I had only one friend left,
I’d want it to be you.

Fluid Mechanics is a Drag

by:Jeniffer Regel

I would like to know,
Why a ten a.m. class on fluid flow?
Conservation of energy will even state,
A body not in motion will be late.
Oh the misery of an alarm's persistence,
When one must awake to a shower's flow resistance.

Bernoulli, Bernoulli, why "Hydrodynamics"?
More useful would be Opposite Gender Mechanics!
For when I explain the buoyant force of a sphere,
My dinner date edges away further, not near.
Oh, this boy is much more dense than Hg,
(That's okay; we pity those with a business degree!)

They will never know a floating body will be stable,
When the center of buoyancy is above the navel.
Or that Fluid Dynamics goes much beyond a pipe,
Density and velocity are not just hype.
When multiplied by Diameter and divided by mu,
We can understand that Reynolds' numbers are TRUE!

This class has had me thinking in many dimensions,
Buckingham Pi I won't even mention!
Two armed sprinklers and angles galore,
Just thinking about them makes my head sore.
Time to take some Tylenol and load up my bag,
Fluid Mechanics can be such a Drag!

Poem

I Taught Myself To Live Simply
by: Anna Akhmatova
I taught myself to live simply and wisely,
to look at the sky and pray to God,
and to wander long before evening
to tire my superfluous worries.
When the burdocks rustle in the ravine
and the yellow-red rowanberry cluster droops
I compose happy verses
about life's decay, decay and beauty.
I come back. The fluffy cat
licks my palm, purrs so sweetly
and the fire flares bright
on the saw-mill turret by the lake.
Only the cry of a stork landing on the roof
occasionally breaks the silence.
If you knock on my door
I may not even hear.

Friend
A friend is a person
to laugh and cry with,
An inspiration,
Someone who lends a helping hand,
though friends may not be forever,
And they may not end up together,
the memories of a true friendship will
last forever.
A friend is not a shadow nor a servant
But someone who hold
a piece of a person in his heart.
Someone who shares a smile,
Someone who brightens up your day
What makes a person a friend?
Is by saying your Love will stay.
